Examples
📌 GPA Example (Per Semester)
Suppose you have 3 courses in one semester:
- Mathematics (3 credits) → Grade A (4.0)
- Physics (4 credits) → Grade B+ (3.3)
- English (2 credits) → Grade B (3.0)
Calculation:
GPA = ( (3×4.0) + (4×3.3) + (2×3.0) ) ÷ (3+4+2) = (12 + 13.2 + 6) ÷ 9 = 31.2 ÷ 9 = 3.47 GPA
📌 CGPA Example (Cumulative)
Suppose you completed 2 semesters:
- Semester 1: GPA = 3.50 with 15 credits
- Semester 2: GPA = 3.80 with 18 credits
Calculation:
CGPA = ( (3.50×15) + (3.80×18) ) ÷ (15+18) = (52.5 + 68.4) ÷ 33 = 120.9 ÷ 33 = 3.66 CGPA
